What if the life you’ve been chasing isn’t years away but just 90 days?

That’s right. Ninety days from now, your whole life could look different—if you know how to focus your energy.

That dream that’s currently collecting dust on your vision board isn’t out of reach. You just need the right system to move from “wanting” to creating.

In this week’s article and YouTube video, I’m breaking down the 4 key steps that people who actually achieve their goals follow.

This is the exact 90-day power shift I’ve used to transform all areas of my life.

Want to use it, too? Then read on!

Why 90 Days?

Here’s the trap most of us fall into…

We try to change everything in a week, get overwhelmed and burn out, and then wonder

why nothing has changed.

Or we do the opposite: We push our dreams into the distant future, telling ourselves, “Next year, I’ll get serious,” with no real plan in place.

But 90 days?

It’s the perfect middle ground. It’s long enough to gain momentum and make real progress but short enough to keep you focused, committed, and in motion.

When you give yourself 90 days, you shift out of vague intention and into tangible action, and science backs this up.

Studies show it takes 66 days (on average) to form a new habit. However, it’s those final few weeks that really solidify the identity change. After 66 days, new habits start to feel natural, and so you stop trying and start becoming.

But let’s back up a bit. How do you get started on this 90-day power shift?

Step 1: Choose One Thing

When we feel the spark to change our lives, most of us do the same thing:

We try to change everything at once.

We start a new workout, a new morning routine, a new side hustle, and so on.

The positive change feels exciting—until it becomes overwhelming, that is. We overload our system and burn out, causing us to throw in the towel.

The solution?

Choose ONE thing and go deep with it.

Rather than spreading your energy across 10 goals, divert 100% of your focus to the thing that could have the biggest ripple effect on everything else.

Because the truth is, when you pick the right goal, it unlocks energy across every part of your life.

So, how do you choose the RIGHT goal?

Identify how you are feeling right now and what you are most desperate to change.

For example, if your energy is low, prioritize getting enough sleep and moving your body daily. Or if you’re constantly worrying about your finances, set a goal to start earning $500 from a side hustle.

Your one thing should feel a little scary yet doable within 90 days.

Once you know your one thing, it’s time to reverse-engineer it into a crystal-clear weekly plan!

Step 2: Break It Into Weekly Targets

Now that you know where you want to go, how do you get there from where you are right now?

By setting weekly targets.

There are 13 weeks in 90 days. That’s 13 steps to help you reach your desired goal.

Think of it like building a house. Each week, you gain one brick. If you stack your 13 bricks with intention, by the end, you’ve built a real wall.

When I first committed to growing my YouTube channel, I set the goal of creating 12 videos in 90 days.

By setting those targets, every week had a mission. Every week, I knew exactly what I needed to do to ‘move the needle,’ and with each video I created, I saw momentum build in real time.

Step 3: Daily Non-Negotiables

Now you know what you need to do each week, let’s get into the nitty-gritty and talk about what you’re going to do day by day.

Big goals aren’t achieved through dramatic actions. They’re built through small daily commitments that reinforce who you’re becoming.

These small daily actions serve as anchors for your identity. They’re a way to show up consistently for the life you’re building and the person you’re becoming.

Your daily actions don’t need to be anything big (in fact, the smaller, the better), but they do need to be non-negotiable—things you do every day, no matter what.

For example, When I was focused on rebuilding my health, I picked three simple non-negotiables:

  • Move my body for 30 minutes
  • Stop eating by 7pm
  • Drink 2L of water

While they don’t seem like much, each day I ticked off these three actions, I reinforced a bigger truth: “I am someone who takes care of my body—no matter what.”

And once that identity clicked in, the results followed.

So, let’s recap: Your non-negotiables should be simple, meaningful, and doable even on your worst days.

They’re not about doing more. They’re about doing what matters, on repeat.

Step 4: Create Your Container

This final step is where most people drop the ball. Not because they don’t want it enough but because life gets in the way.

Your 90-day plan gets buried under emails, laundry, and other people’s priorities…

Unless you create a container to hold it.

A container is a structure that gives your goal boundaries, visibility, and a system for staying on track without relying on daily willpower.

Here’s how to create yours:

  • Pick your start + end date – Choose a day to start your 90-day power shift and count 13 weeks from there.
  • Schedule a weekly check-in – Take 15 minutes each week (perhaps on Sunday night) to review your plan, celebrate your wins, and reset for the upcoming week.
  • Make it visible – Use a wall calendar, whiteboard, or habit tracker—just don’t keep your plan hidden.
  • Decide how you’ll celebrate – Mark the end with something meaningful. You showed up; that’s worth honoring.
