Dr. Kim Foster is a family doctor, writer and mom. She has been practicing medicine for 12 years, and is passionate about preventive health and healthy living. She loves helping women transform their lifestyles and get healthy, happy, and fabulous. She’s big on getting Wicked Healthy.

Dr. Kim’s articles on health and wellness have been appeared in many publications: Alive, Blush, CheckUp, WestCoast Families, Urban Baby, and the Medical Post. Through her website and blog, Savvy Health, Dr. Kim aims to educate and inspire an even wider audience. Since 2011, Dr. Kim has also been a featured blogger on YummyMummyClub.ca, Erica Ehm’s website for moms.

Dr. Kim believes that being healthy doesn’t have to be boring and restrictive. That a healthy lifestyle can be fun, delicious, and full of vices. It can by stylish, sexy, and passionate. That you can be fabulous and healthy at the same time…you just have to know how to do it.

With a trademark combo of accessibility, wisdom and humor, Dr. Kim has earned the respect and loyalty of patients and readers alike. She possesses an ability to cut through the confusing barrage of health information and deliver what people need to know in a clear and entertaining way.

Dr. Kim obtained her BSc in Biology in 1994 from The University of Western Ontario. She then attended medical school at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada, and graduated in 1997, followed by a two-year residency in family medicine. She holds an active license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC, and is a member of the Canadian Medical Association and the College of Family Physicians of Canada.  

Born and raised in Oakville, Ontario, Dr. Kim has lived in Calgary, Vancouver, and London, England. She now happily calls Victoria, BC home, and lives there with her husband and their two young boys.

    I really appreciated your info re. Omega 3-6-9 – friends have been recommending this supplement, but I was confused whether I needed all 3 or just Omega 3.

    Will be sure to check back often for wicked healthy advice
